The Rhinelander Fire Department is staffed by the fire chief, assistant chief, and 18 career firefighters.  In addition to firefighting responsibilities 19 firefighters are trained as emergency medical technicians.  12 of those firefighters serve as Paramedics, 2 serve as EMT-IV Technicians, and 5 serve as EMT-Basics.
