Rhinelander Fire Department Welcome

Thank you for taking time to visit the Rhinelander Fire Department's new web-site. I am very proud to be the chief of this department. I feel that we have an outstanding department, with the employees to match. We are all very proud to serve the citizens of Rhinelander as well as the surrounding communities. This department has a long history of hard work and the desire to better the service we provide.

Currently we provide fire suppression, EMT Basic first responder, specialty rescue, and an extensive fire prevetion program. We also house the city's building inspection department with in the fire department. Several of our staff are cross trained to do building inspections. As part of the building inspection department we also handle most of the city's zoning issues as well as all complaint issues.
